Pictures of Your Great Love

by Wolfgang Herrndorf, adapted for the stage by Robert Koall.

"To be crazy just means that you're crazy, and not stupid," explains Isa in the play "Pictures of Your Great Love" by Wolfgang Herrndorf. Isa walks straight out of a psychiatric hospital and sets off on a journey. A thrilling road movie on foot begins with a fourteen-year-old who not only wants to understand the world, but also feel it.

This scenic sound and text performance is about the longing to be understood and is aimed primarily at people who, like Isa, are still trying to find their place in the world.

PRESS REVIEWS
"Three tents become companions on stage, [...] rapidly transformed into a forest, ship, earth, starry sky or railway embankment. Live-produced sounds with voice and electric guitar, saxophone, and synthesizer create an atmosphere, mostly a pulsating, driving, but also pausing underlay of the inner and outer Isa events. The versatility of these simple tools is amazing, as are the three (actors) who handle them and leave no doubt about the surroundings." RP Online, 2020.
